I think we all were surprised by Hillary Clinton's dramatic exaggeration of here trip to Bosnia in '96. Frank Rich of the NY Times sums it up pretty well. Clinton was regaling audiences with her story for the past month, over three different speaking events. As Rich cites, this was part of here prepared speeches that were approved and vetted by her and the staff.
Finally her camp acknowledged their screw up. So when she snapped back at the press when she finally admitted the error one week later - she described that she "misspoke, that its was due to lack of sleep.." I don't know about others but I was quite insulted. Not only did she make her statement of explanation in a bitchy, how dare you question me tone, but there was no residue forgiveness or contriteness in her words nor demeanor. Whatsoever.
Cold, cold, cold.
And you wonder why people want fresh blood inside the beltway. And why her poll quotient is dropping. Hillary Clinton is a calculating liar. This last piece of wholesome bullshit follows her disingenuous spins on her NRA negotiation contribution and support for NAFTA. Just like George W., she thinks we are clueless sheep that lack cognitive faculties and any ounce of memory.
